Masks in hot pursuit

EDIT: Hadnt seen your last post when writing this at work the other day so take it with a grain of salt or two.

The masks chasing Tom could be the running theme throughout the piece. They could have a reason, or it could be arbitrary. They might not get upset until tom damages something in the landscape, or steals something, or it could just be his resistance to changing/staying. Regardless, they will be in hot pursuit the whole time.

One of the shots I have in mind is having Tom run away, then running up a wall, either through normal, unexplained wire fu, or having the wall have carvings on it, and having him skillfully  and acrobatically ascend the wall rapidly (to the point where he doesn’t even break stride). Maybe have him transition from running normally into a Super Metroid-like speed booster visual style (we could always use this effect somewhere else for a transition  as well)

For the resolution of this action, he could either A) reach the top of the wall and leap over B) Reach a certain point and flip backwards over the masks and land on the ground below or C) have a mask bump him/have him lose his grip and he falls backward. Whatever the case, an ideal in my mind would be to have him hit the ground right around the time the chorus hits, so that the distortion/screaming of the song could be timed in with the “face distortion/rotoscoping” storyboard idea I had brought up. The idea being that the fall/landing/wherever he lands makes him feel all funny and transition into the above mentioned distortion.

We should definitely have a core set of recognizable character masks that chase him. Perhaps they could each have a style of flying and/or certain element/shape based “powers”/energy color glow.
